Introducing #footBALLER

Hello and welcome to my new blog, #footBALLER, which features tutorials of a wide range of football skills and tricks with a varying degree of difficulty.

Ever wondered how to do a ‘McGeady spin’ or a ‘Ronaldo chop’? Wonder no longer. Thanks to years of practice I know how to do a variety of skills and tricks, hopefully after reading my blog you will be able to as well.

If you perceive tricks as a futile aspect of football that are only used by cocky players to mock defenders, please think again. Despite only being 5'6, 17 years old and diabetic, I have been able to compete in adult football for two seasons. Utilising the tricks I have learned has helped me win young player of the season for my team and score a respectable seven goals last season from left midfield. Tricks can also be a crucial part of five-a-side, in a confined space you sometimes have to be inventive to find room to manoeuvre, tricks such as the scoop turn are very effective and easy-to-learn.

I do not only rely on skills and do not see myself as the next Yannick Bolasie but tricks are a vital part to my game and after reading this blog, maybe they could be for you too. So whether you would like to be able to beat a man more easily for your local team or just simply want to impress your friends, this blog is for you.

Stay tuned for my first post which will be how to do an ‘elastico’, made famous by Brazilian legend Ronaldinho.

If you have any enquiries or would like to request a specific trick for me to demonstrate, feel free to comment below, any feedback is appreciated!
